Multi-faceted Veracruz has nightlife for everyone. Veracruz is a tourist and family town, a business center, and a city where the traditional and the modern both thrive.

Stylish, high-energy discos are plentiful and popular, but so is listening to traditional music in the zocalo until late into the night.  In the zocalo groups play typical Veracruz style music (like La bamba), mariachi, norteño, and there’s slow dancing to big band sounds (Danzon).   Bars and restaurants are open and lively until three in the morning.

Cuban, Caribbean, Salsa, Jazz, Rock--groups and individuals perform all along the city’s ten miles of ocean front.
